The Water Tower was built in 1900

in Gothic revival style.

The main water tank was located in the characteristic dome. The tank designed by engineer Otto Intze was made of zinc plate and could house 200 m³ of water. This Water Tower supplied the citizens with running water till 1996. After the reconstruction of the water supply system a local businessman Mr. Henryk Górny bought it and transformed into a unique tourist attraction. A modern viewing terrace was added to the dome (it could be reached both with 129 steps and with a lift). In the Water Tower are also located a cozy cafe and a local museum, with a small collection of local historic photographs and documents. The Tower has also unique two crests above the entrance: Mazurian and cities, differencing it from technically similar buildings in the old East Prussia.
